Ep.514 ~ Leadership, Mindset, Commitment & Balance From the CEO of Foot Locker ~ Lew Kimble
~ High-Performance Entrepreneurship ~
Lew Kimble is on the podcast today and Lew has one of the most impressive corporate executive careers that I have ever come across. Lew is the former Executive Vice President & CEO of the famous sports shoe company FootLocker. Not only has he served as EVP & CEO of FootLocker International, he has also served as EVP and CEO of FootLocker Asia & Pacific, Foot Locker Europe, Vice President of the Real Estate Division of Foot Locker Europe, Vice President of Operations Foot Locker/Kids FL USA, Director of European Sporting Goods Association, & Director of Australian Sporting Goods Association.
Lew started his career with FootLocker just 2 years after the company was founded in 1974 and has been with the company for over 40 years! FootLocker now operates in 28 countries around the world and is actually a successor company to the FW Woolworth Company that was established in 1879. FootLocker now has over 3300 mall based stores globally.
One of the reasons I wanted to have Lew on the show is because he thinks like an entrepreneur. Lew put FootLocker on an entrepreneurial strategy for growth acting as a startup in a mature buying environment with high expectations. Lew has a strong record of proven results on four continents. His leadership ability has allowed him to create a track record of turning around underperforming businesses and delivering long term growth.
